Screaming Eagles Add Stuart MacRae To Scouting Staff
SYDNEY- The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have announced that former Screaming Eagles forward Stuart MacRae has joined the club’s staff as a scout.
MacRae, a native of Coxheath who now resides in Halifax, played in 337 QMJHL games from 1998 to 2003. MacRae ranks eighth all time among Screaming Eagles players with 215 points in 202 regular season games for Cape Breton He also served as team captain during the 2002-03 season.
Following a seven year career in professional hockey, MacRae played senior hockey for three years in Newfoundland and will now be involved in the sport in another capacity. “I was ready to move on from senior hockey but wanted to stay involved in hockey”, said the former Screaming Eagles captain.
MacRae will serve as a scout for the Nova Scotia region and is looking forward to returning to the Screaming Eagles fold. “It’s great to be back with the organization after 15 years away, and hopefully contribute in some way to bringing a QMJHL championship to Cape Breton.”
