Eagles Look For First Win In Rematch Against Bathurst
It’s take two for the Cape Breton Eagles on the opening weekend of the 2024-25 season as they take on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan this afternoon in New Brunswick.
Last night it was the Titan emerging victorious, topping the Eagles 4-2. Louis-François Bélanger and Alexandre Lallier helped pace the Bathurst attack, each with three points including two goals from Bélanger.
For the Eagles, it was a big night for Jacob Newcombe & Romain Litalien. Newcombe was named Eagles captain in the morning and went out and showed why, scoring twice including the first goal in the entire Canadian Hockey League season. Litalien set up both goals, notching two assists in his first QMJHL outing.
