Eagles Invite Capers Marcellus Francis and Jack Brown to Training Camp
Your Eagles have invited two Capers to this year’s Training Camp roster: Eskasoni’s Marcellus Francis and Little Pond’s Jack Brown.
Marcellus Francis (2005-06-04) – Forward – Eskasoni Junior Eagles
In 2022-23 season, the 5’6” 134 lbs forward compiled 65 points (28 goals and 37 assists) in 30 games played for the Eskasoni Junior Eagles in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League. Francis also added 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in 9 playoff games last season.
Prior to his time with the Junior Eagles, the Eskasoni-native Francis played for the Cape Breton Jets in the NSU16AAA where he had 20 points in 29 games in 2021-22.
Jack Brown (2006-10-10) – Defence – Sydney Rush U18
In 2022-23, the 5’10” 165lb defenceman put up 4 assists in 32 games played for the Sydney Mitsubishi Rush, while also compiling 72 penalty minutes.
Prior to the Rush, Brown played for the Mount Academy Saints U16 Prep team in North Rustico, PEI, where he had 10 points in 27 games played in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.
