Klekanskyj returns to Cataractes in deal with Wildcats
Shawinigan, Que. – The Cataractes completed a trade with the Moncton Wildcats early Thursday morning. GM Martin Mondou put acquired on his former defender Matthew Klebanskyj in return for a sixth-round pick in next year’s draft. The deal will be made official Saturday morning.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound rear-guard, who already had one stint in the Cataractes uniform, has amassed 29 points in 136 games in addition to maintaining a +33 rating since his debut in the QMJHL. Klebanskyj was a 7th round pick Cataractes at the 2012 draft. This season with the Wildcats, Klebanskyj has eight points in 39 games.
