Cats win fourth straight over Remparts
The Cataractes were on home ice Tuesday night for a tilt with the Memorial Cup hosts, the Quebec Remparts. Riding a three-game win streak, the home side came away with another victory 2-1 over the Remparts to push the streak to four games.
Remparts captain Kurt Etchegary opened the scoring with a shorthanded marker at 12:47 of the first period. Adam Erne and Ryan Graves had the assists.
Christophe Lalonde responded for the Cataractes with his 34th of the season, a powerplay goal at 13:39. Anthony Beauvillier and Samuel Girard each grabbed helpers.
The game winning goal was scored by Dylan Labbe midway through the second period. The goal came at 9:14 and was unassisted.
Marvin Cupper only faced 25 shots, turning 24 of them aside. For the visitors, Zach Fucale made 27 saves.
