Cataractes explosive offence takes game three

SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Cataractes exploded with six unanswered goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead in their series against the Phoenix with a 8-3 win!
Head coach Bouchard did not make any changes to his lineup for the game. That said, Philippe Cadorette was again in goal while Evan Fitzpatrick was his counterpart for the Phoenix.
For the Phoenix, head coach Stéphane Julien had Kay Schweri returning to the lineup for this contest. He had not played any games thus far in the series.
Phoenix started the game strong going to the locker room with a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. Carl Neill was the first to open the scoring in a massive attack before seeing his teammate Nicolas Poulin double the lead on a powerplay.
The Cataractes exploded during the second period to take the lead 6-3 after two periods of play. Guillaume Gauthier first gave the Phoenix a 3-0 lead, but Claude Bouchard’s group responded with 6 unanswered goals! Dennis Yan, Gabriel Gagné, Cavan Fitzgerald, Alex Pawelczyk, and Anthony Beauvillier beat Fitzpatrick twice during the second period.
Cataracts continued their domination in the third period leaving the Palais-des-Sports Leopold-Drolet with a fantastic 8-3 victory! Danny Moynihan first made the score 7-3 early in the period and a few moments later, Cavan Fitzgerald had his second of the night and pushed it to 8-3! This was the final score!
