Victoriaville’s Gabriel D’Aigle signs ELC with Penguins
Victoriaville Tigres goaltender Gabriel D’Aigle signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins over the weekend.
D’Aigle posted a 3.58 goals-against average (GAA) and a .908 save percentage (SV%) in 39 games this season and earned 14 wins. Over four seasons in the QMJHL, he has appeared in 140 games, compiling a career record of 56 wins, four shutouts, a 3.94 GAA, and a .892 SV%.
Selected second overall by the Tigres in the 2022 QMJHL U16 Priority Selection, the Sorel-Tracy native has steadily improved each season, culminating in being drafted by the Penguins in the third round of the 2025 NHL Draft, 84th overall.
D’Aigle has also found success internationally. He won gold at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, silver at the 2023 U17 World Hockey Challenge and bronze at the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship.
