Six CHL players named to Finland’s training camp roster for 2026 World Juniors
Six CHL players have been named to Finland’s training camp roster for the 2026 World Juniors.
Three players each from the OHL and WHL make up the number; Emil Hemming (Barrie/OHL), Kalto Onni (Oshawa / OHL), Jasper Kuhta (Ottawa / OHL), Julius Miettinen (Everett / WHL), Matias Vanhanen (Everett / WHL) and Veeti Väisänen (Medicine Hat / WHL) will all compete for a spot on Finland’s roster.
Finland were silver medallists in 2025 after they fell in overtime to the USA but have won gold on five occasions previously (1987, 1998, 2014, 2016, 2019).
This year, Finland are in Group B and will face Canada, Denmark, Latvia and Czechia in the round-robin.
The 2026 World Juniors takes place Dec. 26 – Jan. 5 from Minneapolis, MN.
