Portland’s Weiermair pens ELC with Golden Knights

Portland Winterhawks forward Alexander Weiermair has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Vegas Golden Knights.

In his second season in Portland, Weiermair leads the club in goals (32), assists (43) and points (75) and sits tied 11th in WHL scoring.

A native of Los Angeles, the 20-year-old has made 98 appearances across two seasons with the Winterhawks where he’s amassed 121 points (53 goals).

A 2024 NCAA champion with the University of Denver, Weiermair was the 186th overall pick by Vegas in the 2025 NHL Draft.
