- The Brampton Steelheads (1) remained perfect after a 4-1 road win over Barrie. Brampton, who are 3-0-0, are one of just three OHL clubs that are still unbeaten early on in 2024-25. Their three goals against are the fewest in the league.
NHL Prospect Watch
- Angus MacDonnell (DAL) scored twice for the Steelheads in their victory over the Colts. MacDonnell has four goals in three games this season.
- Ilya Protas (WSH), the third overall pick in the 2024 CHL Import Draft, scored in his OHL debut as Windsor beat the Soo 5-0.
Nightly notes
- Porter Martone (2025) continues to dazzle in his draft year as he had three points (2G, 1A) to lead Brampton to a third straight win. Martone has nine points (3G, 6A) in three games this year.
- North Bay joined Brampton as the only other 3-0-0 team in the OHL as they erased a 3-0 deficit against Peterborough to win 5-3. Guelph are the third unbeaten team at 2-0-0.
- Joey Costanzo stopped all 27 shots he faced as Windsor blanked the Soo 5-0. Costanzo is 3-0-0 this season and owns a 1.99 GAA and .938 save percentage.
- Colin Fitzgerald, the third overall pick in the 2024 OHL Draft, scored his first two career goals in the Petes’ loss to the Battalion.
- Saint John collected a third straight win after they doubled up Acadie-Bathurst 6-3. Elliot Dube led the charge was a three-point (1G, 2A) outing.
