CHL to NHL: WHL champion Davidson debuts with Habs
Former Seattle Thunderbirds forward Jared Davidson made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night.
In a 3-2 loss to Boston, Davidson played 7:14 and recorded four shots and one hit.
Undrafted into the WHL, the Edmonton, AB., native spent five seasons with the T-Birds from 2018-2023. Over the time, he played 254 games and recorded 99 goals and 210 points.
In his final season in 2022-23 Davidson helped lead the Thunderbirds to a WHL title as well as a berth in the Memorial Cup final where they fell to Quebec. Across his final two seasons, where he had 80 goals, he was twice named to the U.S. Division First All-Star Team.
As a pro, Davidson has played 120 games in the AHL with the Laval Rocket.
Montreal selected Davidson 130th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft.
