CHL to NHL: Undrafted Bowman plays first game with Golden Knights
Former Guelph Storm captain Braeden Bowman made his NHL debut with the Vegas Golden Knights Thursday.
In a 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders, Bowman played 16:45 where he recorded four shots on goal.
From 2019-2024, Bowman played 184 games for the Storm where he amassed 180 points (97 goals). In his final season in 2023-24, he captained the Storm and scored a career high 37 goals.
Initially signed to an AHL contract after his OHL career,, in March of this year, Bowman penned a two-year entry-level deal with Vegas. With the club’s AHL side – the Henderson Silver Knights – the 22-year-old had made 80 appearances for the club where he tallied 21 goals and 48 points.
