CHL to NHL: Greyhounds’ Martin makes debut with Predators

The Soo Greyhounds’ Brady Martin skated in his NHL debut with the Nashville Predators Thursday night.
The fifth overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft saw 12:44 minutes of ice-time over 14 shifts in a 2-1 Predators win.
Martin is coming off of a standout sophomore OHL season where in 57 games he tallied 33 goals and 72 points to finish second in Greyhounds scoring. He scored twice in five postseason games and was a +25 rating in the regular season.
The third overall pick in the 2023 OHL Draft, the Elmira, ON., native has amassed 100 points in 109 games with the Soo.
Internationally, Martin has gold medals from the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and 2025 U18 World Championships. His +15 rating at the latter was the tournament’s best.
