CHL to NHL: former Knights d-man Skinner suits up for Blues
Former London Knights defenceman Hunter Skinner made his NHL debut with the St. Louis Blues Friday night.
In a 6-5 shootout win over Philadelphia, Skinner played 10:45 and recorded four hits, one block and a +1 rating.
Skinner spent one season in the OHL where in 2019-20, he made 62 appearances with the Knights and recorded 32 points (six goals) before the Covid-19 pandemic ended the season prematurely.
As a pro, the 24-year-old has played 214 games in the AHL and 48 more in the ECHL.
Skinner was originally the 112th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers.
