CHL to NHL: Aspirot debuts with Bruins

Former Moncton Wildcats defenceman Jonathan Aspirot made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins Tuesday night.
In a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders, Aspirot played 14:41, recorded four blocks and one hit across 20 shifts.
The Mascouche, QC., native spent three seasons with the Wildcats from 2016-19 where he made 188 appearances and recorded 73 points (22 goals). In 2018-19, he was named captain.
As a pro, the 26-year-old has spent his entire career in the AHL where he’s played 297 games and suited up for the Belleville Senators, Calgary Wranglers and most recently, the Providence Bruins where he had three points in five games this season.
Aspirot was undrafted to the NHL.
