The Oshawa Generals have advanced to the second round following a 4-2 victory in Game 5 versus the Peterborough Petes in which trade acquisition Anthony Salinitri netted the eventual game winner late in the middle frame.

Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
The underdog Quebec Remparts have the Memorial Cup-hosting Halifax Mooseheads on the brink of an early elimination after piecing together a 4-2 win in Game 5 that saw centre Andrew Coxhead come away with a multi-point effort.

Western Hockey League
For the fifth year running, the Everett Silvertips have advanced beyond the quarter-final after steamrolling the Tri-City Americans by a 9-1 score in Game 5 in which captain Connor Dewar finished with four points.
The Vancouver Giants handed the Seattle Thunderbirds a six-game exit after walking away with a 5-1 decision on Saturday in which a two-goal showing by centre Jadon Joseph led the way for the winning side.
Riley Woods lit the lamp twice in a 4-1 win that saw the Spokane Chiefs oust the Portland Winterhawks in five games.
The Kamloops Blazers will now look to stay alive following a 6-3 loss in Game 5 in which a four-point night by Phillip Schultz led the way for the Victoria Royals.
