The round-robin concluded Sunday at the 2026 Winter Olympics as the first four quarterfinalists secured their spot in the final eight.

Former Halifax Mooseheads and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies star Timo Meier (NJ) had a goal and an assist while former Guelph Storm forward Pius Puter (STL) scored as Switzerland beat Czechia 4-3 in their round-robin finale. Former Moosehead Nico Hischier (NJ) also tallied an assist for the Swiss who secured second spot in Group B.
Canada completed a perfect 3-0-0 round-robin after a 10-2 win against France. CHL alumnus in Erie’s Connor McDavid (EDM), Rimouski’s Sidney Crosby (PIT) and Brandon’s Mark Stone (VGK) all had three points (1G/2A) while former Plymouth Whaler Tom Wilson had a goal and assist. London’s Bo Horvat (NYI) and Red Deer’s Brandon Hagel (TB) also had goals while Owen Sound’s Jordan Binnington (STL) stopped 12 shots. The win confirmed Canada as the no.1 seed for the remainder of the tournament while Crosby became Canada’s all-time Olympic scoring leader with 16 points at tournament’s when NHL players are present.

In Group C, Niagara IceDogs and Sudbury Wolves alumnus Mikkel Aagaard had a goal and an assist as Denmark took down Latvia 4-2 for their first win of the Olympics. Former Moosehead Nikolaj Ehlers (CAR) also scored while Barrie alumnus Arturs Silovs (PIT) made 17 saves for Latvia.
Finally, the USA accomplished a 3-0-0 round-robin after a 5-1 decision over Germany where former London Knight Matthew Tkachuk (FLA) tallied two assists.
