CHL on Sportsnet: Prince Albert at Saskatoon – Game 3
The Prince Albert Raiders will look to push the Saskatoon Blades to the brink of elimination in Game 3 of their second-round series airing Tuesday at 9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific.
The Raiders carry a 2-0 series edge following Sunday’s 3-2 victory in which centre Dante Hannoun led the way with one goal and one assist. His marker came early in the final frame and was part of a quick flurry that saw the Raiders find the back of the net three times in 2:40 to cap the comeback over their provincial rivals. Also scoring for the Raiders was defenceman Zack Hayes, who netted his first of the postseason, as well as centre Sean Montgomery, as he notched his team-leading fifth goal of the playoffs.
Replying for the Blades was centre and Washington Capitals prospect Eric Florchuk as well as fellow forward 18-year-old Kirby Dach, who ranked in the top-two among North American skaters in Central Scouting’s midterm report. In six playoff appearances, Dach has recorded four goals and two assists for six points to sit atop the Blades’ team lead in scoring. However, Dach isn’t the only draft-eligible skater in the series who is having an impressive playoff. There is also Raiders right-wing Brett Leason, who has picked up three goals and four assists for seven points in five games to lead his team in scoring.
In returning to home ice for Game 3, the Blades will look to find the regular-season magic they had versus the Raiders, as they went 2-1-1 in four games in their own barn, including the penultimate contest of the 2018-19 campaign which saw the Blades come away with a 3-2 victory.
Catch all the action in Game 3 between the Raiders and Blades on Tuesday at 9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific.
