Congratulations to the Eight CHL Players on Team USA
The Canadian Hockey League would like to congratulate the eight members of Team USA that represented the CHL by winning gold at the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships in Saskatoon and Regina, SK, with a thrilling 6-5 overtime win over Team Canada last Tuesday night.

Those players include Cam Fowler of the Windsor Spitfires, AJ Jenks of the Plymouth Whalers, Brian Lashoff of the Kingston Frontenacs, Philip McRae of the Plymouth Whalers (member of London Knights during the tournament), Jeremy Morin of the Kitchener Rangers, Tyler Johnson of the Spokane Chiefs, Luke Walker of the Portland Winterhawks, and Ryan Bourque of the Quebec Remparts.

Fowler hails from Farmington Hills, Michigan, and is playing in his first OHL season. Jenks is competing in his fourth OHL season from Wolverine Lake, Michigan. Lashoff is a fourth year veteran from Albany, New York. McRae, from Chesterfield, Missouri, is also competing in his fourth OHL season. Morin, a native of Auburn, New York, is in the midst of his first OHL season. Johnson, a Spokane, Washington, native is in his third WHL season, while Walker, is a third year player from Portland, Oregon. Bourque, a native of Topsfield, Massachusetts, is playing in his first QMJHL season.

In addition to these eight players, winning goaltender Jack Campbell of Port Huron, Michigan, is committed to play for the Windsor Spitfires next season, while the overtime hero John Carlson of Colonia, New Jersey, played for the London Knights last season.

A total of 53 current CHL players competed on various teams in the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships including all 22 players on Team Canada.
