The Charlottetown Islanders’ year is over after falling 4-3 in Game 6 versus the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles as left-wing Egor Sokolov potted the overtime winner and his second of the game at the 11-minute mark of the extra session.

The Edmonton Oil Kings punched their ticket to the semi-final for the first time in five years after dumping the Medicine Hat Tigers by a 4-3 score in Game 6 that saw centre Vince Loschiavo tally the overtime winner to notch his fourth goal of the series.

It will come down to a winner-takes-all Game 7 on Tuesday after the Lethbridge Hurricanes rallied for a 7-6 win over the Calgary Hitmen in which defenceman Calen Addison led the way with a four-point night, including the game-tying goal with 33 seconds remaining.
